Hi! I'm Mrs. Smith and I teach science and math at Westminster Elementary School. This is my second year in fourth grade. I team teach with Mrs. Vargo. She teaches language arts and social studies. I am also a jv basketball coach at Walhalla High School.
I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Elementary Education. My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary in May. I have a chocolate lab named Tuff because he is tough stuff.
Some things that I enjoy doing outside of school are four wheeling, hiking, fishing, and tubing down the river. I also enjoy watching the Clemson Tigers whip up on their opponents during football season! :)
I am looking forward to another amazing year teaching fourth grade!!

This group wanted to know if right handed people were better at left or right handed lay ups.
Science Fair
The balloon group is testing how far a balloon can be tossed before it pops.
Potato Soccer
For Potato Soccer students kicked their potato into the goal (chair legs). Students discussed what variables influenced a goal being made.
Potato Olympics
The Potato High Dive. Students measured the amount of water that was displaced after their potato dove in from a distance of 1 yard.
