Science: We are in the process of wrapping up science fair. Most groups have completed their experiment and are now working on typing up their information. We will be putting our boards together. If your child is completing a science fair project at home their experiment should be completed at this point and should be ready to put their board together. You may purchase a board at school for $4.00. The science fair will be December 16th. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Language Arts: We will be working reading Sarah, Plain and Tall. We will also focus on drawing conclusions while reading. The students will learn the difference between common and proper nouns. Comprehension Quiz and Spelling Test will be Thursday.

Social Studies: We will continue our discussion of the early colonies. We will learn what everyday life was like in the colonies.

Special Announcements:
· We are beginning to plan for the Christmas party on December 19th. Instead of purchasing a gift to exchange, we are asking each family to send in $1.00 or more if you are able to. We will be purchasing gifts for one boy and one girl from the angel tree at Wal-Mart. This is a great opportunity to help another child whose family is struggling. The gifts purchased for the angle tree children will be on display at our parties. The children will help wrap these presents. Wouldn’t it be great if we had enough money brought in to sponsor SEVERAL children?! Please send in all money by December 15th. Be sure to watch for more information about party details.
